Verse 7.12
ये चैव सात्त्विका भावा राजसास्तामसाश्च ये। मत्त एवेति तान्विद्धि नत्वहं तेषु ते मयि।।7.12।।
ye chaiva sāttvikā bhāvā rājasās tāmasāśh cha ye matta eveti tān viddhi na tvahaṁ teṣhu te mayi
Meaning
Whatever's pure, active, or chill—know that it's all from me. It's all in me, but I'm not in it, no cap.
Commentary
Okay, so like, this whole world is vibing on three major energies: Sattva (pure vibes), Rajas (go-getter energy), and Tamas (total chill mode). Every single thing, living or not, is a mix of these three. It's all about which energy is the main player; that's what gives things their unique personality. Gods, sages, milk, and green gram? Total Sattva. Gandharvas, kings, warriors, and spicy peppers? Rajas is their jam. Demons, Sudras, garlic, onions, and meat? Yeah, that's Tamas. Even though all this stuff comes from me, I'm not *in* it. It's all in me, but I'm independent, like, the ultimate support system. Think of it like a rope with a superimposed snake. The snake is on the rope, but the rope isn't in the snake. Same with waves and the ocean. Get it?
