Verse 6.9

सुहृन्मित्रार्युदासीनमध्यस्थद्वेष्यबन्धुषु। साधुष्वपि च पापेषु समबुद्धिर्विशिष्यते।।6.9।।

suhṛin-mitrāryudāsīna-madhyastha-dveṣhya-bandhuṣhu sādhuṣhvapi cha pāpeṣhu sama-buddhir viśhiṣhyate

Meaning

Yo, the person who's all cool with everyone—their besties, their enemies, the people they don't even know, the neutral peeps, the haters, their fam, the good guys, and the bad guys—that person is straight-up winning.

Commentary

Okay, so like, this dude is totally the GOAT among yogis. He's got this chill vibe, this *samabuddhi*, where he's totally even-keeled with everyone. No cap, he sees everyone the same, regardless of their background or whatever. It's not about race, religion, or anything like that. He's all about love and acceptance, you know? A real one. A good person does good things without expecting anything back. An *udasina* is someone who's totally neutral, not picking sides. A neutral person is like, a spectator, watching the drama unfold. The righteous are the ones who follow the rules, and the unrighteous are the ones who don't and are total jerks.
