Verse 6.8

ज्ञानविज्ञानतृप्तात्मा कूटस्थो विजितेन्द्रियः। युक्त इत्युच्यते योगी समलोष्टाश्मकाञ्चनः।।6.8।।

jñāna-vijñāna-tṛiptātmā kūṭa-stho vijitendriyaḥ yukta ityuchyate yogī sama-loṣhṭāśhma-kāñchanaḥ

Meaning

The Yogi who's, like, totally content with their self-knowledge, who's mastered their senses, and for whom, like, dirt, rocks, and gold are all the same—that's someone who's achieved Nirvikalpa Samadhi.

Commentary

Okay, so like, *Jnana* is, like, the textbook stuff, the theory you read about in the scriptures. *Vijnana* is the total opposite; it's that *direct* experience, that 'aha!' moment of self-realization. *Kutastha* means, like, totally chill and unbothered, like, a solid anvil. You can beat on it all day, but it ain't changing. That's the Yogi—unfazed by anything. They're *Kutastha*, another name for Brahman, the ultimate observer.
