Verse 5.20
न प्रहृष्येत्प्रियं प्राप्य नोद्विजेत्प्राप्य चाप्रियम्। स्थिरबुद्धिरसम्मूढो ब्रह्मविद्ब्रह्मणि स्थितः।।5.20।।
na prahṛiṣhyet priyaṁ prāpya nodvijet prāpya chāpriyam sthira-buddhir asammūḍho brahma-vid brahmaṇi sthitaḥ
Meaning
Yo, chillin' in Brahman, with a mind that's totally steady and not even phased, the Brahman knower doesn't even care about getting good stuff or bad stuff. It's whatever.
Commentary
This is the vibe of a Jivanmukta, a total chill sage, or a Brahmana who's, like, one with the Self, the Atman. They're always balanced, never tripping. They've ditched all the drama, totally resting in Brahman. Anyone with an unbalanced mind? Someone who's all about their body and mind? They're gonna feel all the feels – pleasure and pain, hyped when they get something good, and bummed when it's bad. (See VI.21, 27, 28, XIII.12, XIV.20)
