Verse 4.20
त्यक्त्वा कर्मफलासङ्गं नित्यतृप्तो निराश्रयः। कर्मण्यभिप्रवृत्तोऽपि नैव किञ्चित्करोति सः।।4.20।।
tyaktvā karma-phalāsaṅgaṁ nitya-tṛipto nirāśhrayaḥ karmaṇyabhipravṛitto ’pi naiva kiñchit karoti saḥ
Meaning
Yo, ditch the attachment to the results, be chill, don't depend on anything, and you're basically doing nothing, even when you're doing stuff.
Commentary
Okay, so like, this whole 'doing nothing while doing stuff' thing is repeated, you know, to, like, REALLY hammer it home. Anyone who's, like, totally vibing and working for the greater good, without being all egotistical and attached to the results? Yeah, they're basically doing nothing, even though they're super busy. It's because they're, like, totally self-aware and connected to this higher power, you know? It's like, Brahman, the ultimate being, is self-sufficient. If you're all about that self-realization, you're already good. You're always content, you don't need anything. It's like, if you're already in with the king, you don't need to be kissing up to the ministers or whatever.
