Verse 3.43
एवं बुद्धेः परं बुद्ध्वा संस्तभ्यात्मानमात्मना। जहि शत्रुं महाबाहो कामरूपं दुरासदम्।।3.43।।
evaṁ buddheḥ paraṁ buddhvā sanstabhyātmānam ātmanā jahi śhatruṁ mahā-bāho kāma-rūpaṁ durāsadam
Meaning
Okay, so you gotta know the dude who's totally above your intellect, and then, like, control your inner self with your higher self. Then, you, Arjuna, my dude with the huge arms, gotta totally slay that desire enemy, which is, like, impossible to beat.
Commentary
Yo, so like, chill your lower self with your higher self, you know? Subdue your basic mind with your higher mind. Desire is, like, totally hard to conquer because it's, like, super complex and incomprehensible. But if you're all about that mindful life and do constant, intense Sadhana, it's totally doable. Desire is all Rajas energy. If you boost your Sattva game, you can totally slay desire. Rajas can't even stand up to Sattva. Even though desire is a beast, it's not impossible to conquer. The easiest way? Hit up the Indwelling Presence (God) with prayers and Japa. And that's a wrap on the third discourse, 'The Yoga of Action,' from the Bhagavad Gita, the ultimate script on the Eternal, the Yoga text, the convo between Sri Krishna and Arjuna.
