Verse 3.42
इन्द्रियाणि पराण्याहुरिन्द्रियेभ्यः परं मनः। मनसस्तु परा बुद्धिर्यो बुद्धेः परतस्तु सः।।3.42।।
indriyāṇi parāṇyāhur indriyebhyaḥ paraṁ manaḥ manasas tu parā buddhir yo buddheḥ paratas tu saḥ
Meaning
Bro, they're saying senses > body, mind > senses, intellect > mind, and the Self is, like, totally above the intellect.
Commentary
Okay, so like, the body is, like, totally basic, right? But the senses? Way more superior, they're more subtle and, like, do way more stuff. Then the mind is, like, next level because the senses can't even do anything without it. The mind's, like, running the show for the five senses. Intellect is even more superior because it's all about making choices and decisions. When your mind's all confused, your intellect steps in to save the day. And then, like, the Self? That's the ultimate GOAT, even more than the intellect, because the intellect gets its power from the Self. It's, like, the OG source of everything.
