Verse 2.70
आपूर्यमाणमचलप्रतिष्ठं समुद्रमापः प्रविशन्ति यद्वत्। तद्वत्कामा यं प्रविशन्ति सर्वे स शान्तिमाप्नोति न कामकामी।।2.70।।
āpūryamāṇam achala-pratiṣhṭhaṁ samudram āpaḥ praviśhanti yadvat tadvat kāmā yaṁ praviśhanti sarve sa śhāntim āpnoti na kāma-kāmī
Meaning
Yo, whoever's totally unbothered by all the cravings, that's the one who's chill. It's like, all the desires flow into them, like water into the ocean, and they're still totally unfazed. But not the peeps who are all about the desires.
Commentary
It's like, the ocean, right? Totally chill, even when, like, a ton of water flows into it from everywhere. That's a vibe. Same with a sage who's, like, totally centered in themselves. Zero stress, even with all the crazy desires hitting them. Peace is the outcome. But not for the peeps who are all about chasing that next high.
