When everyone's sleeping, the self-controlled dude is totally awake. When everyone's awake, that's when the wise one is sleeping.

Commentary

For normies, what's real is actually fake news, but for the enlightened peeps, it's the total opposite. The sage is vibing in their own world, that's their day. They're not even phased by the drama of the world; it's like, whatever. Regular people are clueless about their true selves; their spiritual life is like, 'night' for them. They're all about the sensory overload, that's their 'day'. Their true self? Nonexistent to them. For a sage, this world is nothing. Normies are living in the dark ages, no clue about their true selves. What's darkness for them is pure light for the sage. The Self, Atman, or Brahman is 'night' for normies, but the sage is wide awake, totally connected to the ultimate reality, the brightest light. They're illuminated, totally self-aware.
