Verse 2.66

नास्ति बुद्धिरयुक्तस्य न चायुक्तस्य भावना। न चाभावयतः शान्तिरशान्तस्य कुतः सुखम्।।2.66।।

nāsti buddhir-ayuktasya na chāyuktasya bhāvanā na chābhāvayataḥ śhāntir aśhāntasya kutaḥ sukham

Meaning

No knowledge of the self for the unstable, no meditation for the unstable, no peace for the unmeditative, and how can there be happiness for one who has no peace?

Commentary

No cap, if you can't chill and meditate, you ain't gonna know yourself. Straight up, if you're all over the place, meditation's not happening. And if you ain't meditating, you ain't getting no peace. So, how you gonna be happy if you're not at peace? It's like, thirst for stuff is the enemy of peace. No way you're happy if you're always craving stuff. Your mind's gonna be a mess, always wanting more. Peace only comes when that thirst is gone. Only then can you meditate and find yourself.
