Verse 2.59
विषया विनिवर्तन्ते निराहारस्य देहिनः। रसवर्जं रसोऽप्यस्य परं दृष्ट्वा निवर्तते।।2.59।।
viṣhayā vinivartante nirāhārasya dehinaḥ rasa-varjaṁ raso ’pyasya paraṁ dṛiṣhṭvā nivartate
Meaning
Okay, so like, for real, when you're all about self-control, the senses are, like, 'peace out.' The cravings are gone too. But when you see the Supreme Being, even those cravings are, like, 'bye felicia.'
Commentary
Yo, knowing yourself is the only way to, like, totally delete those lingering desires and attachments, even the cravings. Doing extreme self-discipline and ditching sensory stuff? Yeah, the senses might back off, but that doesn't mean you'll stop wanting stuff. It's still gonna be there.
