yadā sanharate chāyaṁ kūrmo ’ṅgānīva sarvaśhaḥ indriyāṇīndriyārthebhyas tasya prajñā pratiṣhṭhitā
Meaning
When, like, a turtle retracts all its limbs, a Yogi does the same with their senses. Then, their wisdom is, like, totally on point.
Commentary
Yo, so like, Pratyahara is, like, totally about withdrawing your senses, right? Our minds are always, like, gravitating towards external stuff. But a Yogi? Nah, they're different. They're constantly, like, pulling their minds back from all the sensory stuff and focusing on the Self. A Yogi with mad Pratyahara skills can, like, enter Samadhi in, like, a total mosh pit. No cap. They're not even phased by crazy loud noises. Even on a battlefield, they can chill in their own headspace, you know? It's like, they're totally dead to the world, unaffected by external vibes. They can, like, snap their senses into control whenever they want. Their senses are, like, their total minions.
