Verse 2.56

दुःखेष्वनुद्विग्नमनाः सुखेषु विगतस्पृहः। वीतरागभयक्रोधः स्थितधीर्मुनिरुच्यते।।2.56।।

duḥkheṣhv-anudvigna-manāḥ sukheṣhu vigata-spṛihaḥ vīta-rāga-bhaya-krodhaḥ sthita-dhīr munir uchyate

Meaning

Yo, the person who's totally unfazed by drama, doesn't crave the good life, and is free of attachment, fear, and anger? That's a straight-up sage, my dude.

Commentary

Krishna's dropping some serious knowledge here, answering Arjuna's question about what a chill sage is all about. Verses 56, 57, and 58 break it down. A true sage? Doesn't sweat the small stuff, like natural disasters or getting stung by a scorpion. Total chill, no matter what life throws at them. Rich? Doesn't go crazy for material stuff. Basically, they're living their best lives, unbothered.
