Verse 2.47
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन। मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि।।2.47।।
karmaṇy-evādhikāras te mā phaleṣhu kadāchana mā karma-phala-hetur bhūr mā te saṅgo ’stvakarmaṇi
Meaning
Your only job is to do the thing, not to stress about the results. Don't be obsessed with what you get, and don't be a total couch potato.
Commentary
Yo, so like, when you're doing stuff, don't trip about what you get out of it. If you're all about the rewards, you're gonna be stuck in this endless cycle of reincarnation. Doing stuff for the clout? That's some major baggage, fam. But if you're not stressing the outcome, you'll achieve inner peace and self-knowledge. And that's the key to escaping the whole rebirth thing. Don't be all 'what's the point if I don't get anything?' Karma is, like, everything. It's your actions, your responsibilities, your Vedic rituals, your destiny, the whole shebang. It's deep, you know?
