Verse 2.46
यावानर्थ उदपाने सर्वतः संप्लुतोदके। तावान्सर्वेषु वेदेषु ब्राह्मणस्य विजानतः।।2.46।।
yāvān artha udapāne sarvataḥ samplutodake tāvānsarveṣhu vedeṣhu brāhmaṇasya vijānataḥ
Meaning
For a Brahmana who's got self-knowledge on lock, the Vedas are as useful as a flooded reservoir. No cap.
Commentary
For a Brahmana who's already tapped into their inner self, the Vedas are, like, totally useless. It's like, you know, a reservoir during a flash flood – completely irrelevant. But, like, obvi, the Vedas are still fire for peeps just starting their spiritual journey. All that fleeting pleasure you get from following the rules? Nah, that's nothing compared to the infinite bliss of knowing yourself.
