Verse 2.26
अथ चैनं नित्यजातं नित्यं वा मन्यसे मृतम्। तथापि त्वं महाबाहो नैवं शोचितुमर्हसि।।2.26।।
atha chainaṁ nitya-jātaṁ nityaṁ vā manyase mṛitam tathāpi tvaṁ mahā-bāho naivaṁ śhochitum arhasi
Meaning
Yo, Arjuna, even if you're tripping and think this whole 'Self' thing is, like, constantly being born and dying, it's NBD. Don't be a crybaby.
Commentary
Okay, so like, Krishna's totally playing devil's advocate here, right? He's saying, 'Let's just *assume*, for the sake of argument, that this whole Self thing is constantly being born and dying with each body. Even IF that's true, Arjuna, my dude, you still shouldn't be all emo about it.' It's, like, the ultimate flex on the circle of life. Birth is inevitable, death is inevitable. It's just how it is. No cap.
