Verse 18.8
दुःखमित्येव यत्कर्म कायक्लेशभयात्त्यजेत्।स कृत्वा राजसं त्यागं नैव त्यागफलं लभेत्।।18.8।।
duḥkham ity eva yat karma kāya-kleśha-bhayāt tyajet sa kṛitvā rājasaṁ tyāgaṁ naiva tyāga-phalaṁ labhet
Meaning
If you're, like, totally dodging work 'cause you're scared of getting hurt, bruh, that ain't true renunciation. That's just a Rajasic cop-out.
Commentary
Yo, so like, the reward for ditching everything is, like, *moksha*, right? But that's only if you're wise about it. You gotta be determined and persistent to do the right thing. It's easy to start something and then bail when things get hard or you're feeling the physical pain. Sattvic renunciation? That's a whole other level.
