Yo Arjuna, even tho you gotta do these things, don't be attached or thirsty for rewards. That's the tea, no cap.
Commentary
Okay, so like, even tho you're doing all this selfless stuff, sacrifices, charity, and all that, the key is to ditch the attachment and the need for a reward. It's not about the clout, it's about the vibes. This whole Karma Yoga thing? It's been a major theme, and the problem isn't the actions themselves, it's all about that reward expectation and attachment. Even those big sacrifices, charity, and austerities? Same deal. Do it without expecting anything back, no strings attached, and you're good. No cap. When you're not chasing rewards, you're leveling up your mind, getting rid of the negative vibes (Rajas and Tamas), and filling yourself with good energy (Sattva). It's all about selflessness and making the right choices. This is how you break free from the cycle of Karma. Basically, Krishna is dropping some serious truth about letting go (verse 4), then he's straight up saying, don't quit on the sacrifices, charity, and austerities; they're purifying. Even these actions should be performed without attachment, etc. It's the conclusion of what he said in verse 4. 'Even' means that even tho these things can bind you if you're attached to the rewards, you still gotta do them. It's like, scorched seeds can't grow, right? So, you gotta burn off that need for rewards to break free from the Karma cycle.
