Commentary

Okay, so like, the person who's totally chill and detached from everything, who's mastered their inner self and doesn't even care about desires anymore? They've reached, like, the ultimate level of chill – total freedom from the whole action-reaction thing, just by letting go of everything. It's all about that inner peace, you know? No attachment to wife, kids, body, or stuff. They've got their senses and mind under control, zero desire for anything physical or materialistic. Their focus is totally inward, on God or their true self. They're not even phased by worldly stuff, they're all about that dispassion and discernment. They're totally grounded in their true self, which is all about existence, knowledge, and bliss. This person, who's got that self-knowledge, achieves ultimate perfection – total freedom from action through letting go. Ignorance is gone, replaced by self-knowledge, and actions just stop mattering. They might still do stuff for the world, but they're not bound by it because they're totally free. The fire of knowledge has burned away the consequences of their actions. They don't even think of themselves as the 'doer' because they're totally free of ego, totally one with the Supreme Being. Naishkarmya siddhi? That's like, the ultimate state of being – no action, just pure divine awesomeness. It's like instant liberation, total chill. You get there through letting go, through knowledge, or by just dropping all actions once you've got that self-knowledge. Mentally letting go of everything, totally self-controlled, they're just vibing in their own little world, not doing anything, not making anyone else do anything. The Lord's next lesson is about how to get to that perfect freedom from action by serving the Lord, getting that discernment, meditating constantly, and chilling in the knowledge of your unchanging self.
