Verse 18.35

यया स्वप्नं भयं शोकं विषादं मदमेव च।न विमुञ्चति दुर्मेधा धृतिः सा पार्थ तामसी।।18.35।।

yayā svapnaṁ bhayaṁ śhokaṁ viṣhādaṁ madam eva cha na vimuñchati durmedhā dhṛitiḥ sā pārtha tāmasī

Meaning

Yo Arjuna, that stiff, unmoving vibe where a total dummy can't let go of sleep, fear, sadness, despair, and ego? That's some straight-up Tamasic energy.

Commentary

Bro, a total dark-mode dude is like, the epitome of evil vibes. He's straight-up lazy and a total sinner. Sleeps all day, thinks it's totally normal. His bad choices bring him major FOMO, and because he's so attached to the physical, he's always low-key scared. He's never content, always lusting and thinking he's all that. No clue how to act right, total rude dude, obsessed with pleasure. It's a whole mess.
