नियतं सङ्गरहितमरागद्वेषतः कृतम्।अफलप्रेप्सुना कर्म यत्तत्सात्त्विकमुच्यते।।18.23।।

niyataṁ saṅga-rahitam arāga-dveṣhataḥ kṛitam aphala-prepsunā karma yat tat sāttvikam uchyate

Meaning

Yo, an action that's, like, totally obligatory, no strings attached, no love-hate drama, and zero desire for a reward? That's straight-up sattvic, fam.

Commentary

Okay, so like, 'ordained' means, like, totally obligatory, no cap. You're not, like, hyped to do it because you're all lovey-dovey or hatey-hatey. It's just, like, pure, you know? Doing that pure stuff? Major vibes. It's like, you're doing your thing, no reward needed, just straight-up offering it to the big man upstairs. It's all about following the rules, fam. Now, listen up, Arjuna, I'm 'bout to drop some truth on the Rajasic action, the passionate kind. Pay attention!
