pañchaitāni mahā-bāho kāraṇāni nibodha me sānkhye kṛitānte proktāni siddhaye sarva-karmaṇām
Meaning
Yo, Arjuna, my dude, listen up! I'm 'bout to drop some knowledge on you, five reasons why things happen, straight from the Sankhya system. It's all about how everything gets done.
Commentary
Bro, like, the Self is totally chill and doesn't even care about all the stuff we do. It's all nature, doing its thing. The Self is just vibing, watching everything happen. It's all about these five causes, which are gonna be explained. 'Etani' means 'these things about to drop.' Sankhya-Vedanta is, like, the ultimate knowledge, the end of all the hustle. Once you get that knowledge, it's game over for all the actions. It's like, in chapter 2, verse 46, it's said that once you know the Self, all the Vedas are useless, like a water tank in a flood. And in chapter 4, verse 33, it's all about knowledge being the end goal. So, Vedanta is the ultimate knowledge that ends all actions. A woke sage who knows the Self is totally done, they've done everything they need to do.
