यः शास्त्रविधिमुत्सृज्य वर्तते कामकारतः।न स सिद्धिमवाप्नोति न सुखं न परां गतिम्।।16.23।।
yaḥ śhāstra-vidhim utsṛijya vartate kāma-kārataḥ na sa siddhim avāpnoti na sukhaṁ na parāṁ gatim

If you're ditching the rules and just following your cravings, you're not gonna level up, be happy, or reach the ultimate goal. No cap.
Commentary
Bro, if you're totally ignoring the rules and just doing whatever your desires tell you, you're gonna be majorly screwed. You ain't gonna achieve anything worthwhile, be happy, or reach enlightenment. It's like, you're betraying yourself. The Vedas are like, your ultimate guide, super supportive and showing you the right path, but if you ditch them, you're done for. If you're all about your senses and ignoring what you should be doing, you're never gonna find God.
