tri-vidhaṁ narakasyedaṁ dvāraṁ nāśhanam ātmanaḥ kāmaḥ krodhas tathā lobhas tasmād etat trayaṁ tyajet

Meaning

There are three doors to hell, and they're total self-destruct buttons: lust, rage, and greed. So ditch that trio, ASAP.

Commentary

Yo, listen up! Lust, rage, and greed? Total self-destruction, fam. They're like, the highway robbers straight to the abyss of misery and grief. These three? They're the main sources of all your problems, the ultimate gateways to hell. They're the enemies of chill, devotion, and knowledge. When these bad vibes hit, you lose your balance, your judgment, and you do some seriously messed-up stuff. Lust, anger, and greed? That's straight-up ignorance, my dude. The pure, immortal self doesn't have any of that baggage. The gate to hell? It's not even a game, fam. Just stepping into it destroys you. It's a total fail. Ditch these three things, or you're done. Next verse, we'll give props to those who escaped this mess.
