Verse 15.6

न तद्भासयते सूर्यो न शशाङ्को न पावकः।यद्गत्वा न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम।।15.6।।

na tad bhāsayate sūryo na śhaśhāṅko na pāvakaḥ yad gatvā na nivartante tad dhāma paramaṁ mama

Meaning

It's not like the sun's gonna light that place, or the moon, or even fire. Once you're there, you ain't coming back. That's my ultimate crib.

Commentary

No cap, that supreme abode is like, self-illuminated, cuz Brahman is all about that glow-up. It was already a thing before the sun, moon, and fire even existed. And it's still gonna be a thing after they're all, like, totally gone. It's straight-up from the Kathopanishad, fam. The sun ain't shining there, neither is the moon or stars, or even lightning. It's only when *It* shines that everything else gets lit. Same vibe in the Svetasvatara and Mundaka Upanishads. The sun, moon, etc.? They get their shine from Para Brahman. The Supreme Being? It's already lit, no need for extra lighting. 'Dhama paramam'? That's the ultimate crib, the supreme seat, or Para Brahman itself. Even the sun can't outshine the Supreme Being. It's the place where no one ever leaves, and the sun, moon, stars, lightning, and fire can't even touch it. That's Vishnu's ultimate spot.
