Verse 14.19

नान्यं गुणेभ्यः कर्तारं यदा द्रष्टानुपश्यति।गुणेभ्यश्च परं वेत्ति मद्भावं सोऽधिगच्छति।।14.19।।

nānyaṁ guṇebhyaḥ kartāraṁ yadā draṣhṭānupaśhyati guṇebhyaśh cha paraṁ vetti mad-bhāvaṁ so ’dhigachchhati

Meaning

When you see that it's all about the Gunas, no other agent, and you know what's beyond them, you're straight-up one with the Supreme Being.

Commentary

Okay, so like, the Supreme Self is totally unaffected by the Gunas, no cap. The enlightened peeps are all like, 'I'm just vibing, witnessing this Guna stuff, I ain't the one doing or enjoying anything.' The Gunas are, like, the whole motive behind everything that goes down. But I'm beyond all that, totally separate. I'm pure consciousness, the Gunas can't even touch me, I'm like, the ultimate chill ether. When you get that epiphany, that knowledge of the Self – when you realize it's all the Gunas running the show, changing bodies, senses, and everything – when you know it's just the Gunas being all agent-y in every situation, and you get that Supreme Self is totally separate, the silent observer of all the Guna action… that's when you achieve liberation, you become one with the Supreme Being. You transcend those three Gunas, you're a whole new level.
