Meaning

No cap, zero F's given about sensory stuff, and major ego-death. It's all about seeing the major downsides of birth, death, aging, and sickness.

Commentary

Okay, so like, a wise person is totally unbothered by, like, sensory stuff. They're not even tryna talk about it. Their senses aren't, like, craving anything. Vairagya is, like, not caring about sounds, touch, whatever, even if it's, like, a heavenly pleasure. Anahankara is, like, the opposite of thinking you're all that. It's, like, no ego. Think about the total suck of being born, dying, getting old, and being sick. Nine months in the womb, the pain of birth – total bummer. Old age is, like, your brain turning to mush, your senses going kaput, and everyone low-key disrespecting you. Sickness is, like, piles, anemia, malaria – major yuck. Pain is, like, the worst. Birth, death, old age, sickness – all major L's. Thinking about all this makes you, like, not care about physical pleasures. Your mind turns inward, you know? It's all about self-knowledge.
