Meaning
Seven mega-sages, four ancient peeps, and the Manus – all with powers like mine 'cause they were totally obsessed with me – came straight from my mind. And from them? Every single creature on this planet.
Commentary
Okay, so like, in the beginning, it was just me, right? And then, boom, I manifested the mind, and from that mind came, like, seven OG sages (think Bhrigu, Vasishtha, and the whole squad), four ancient Kumaras (Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatkumara, and Sanatsujata – total chads), and four past Manus (the Savarnis). These peeps were all totally vibing with me, so they got, like, super powers and wisdom. The four Kumaras? Total celibates, no kids, just straight-up BrahmaVichara meditation. They were all mind-born, not, like, born from a womb or anything. Manavah, aka humans, are Manu's kids. Manus are, like, God's mind-born sons. All the creatures, moving and non-moving, came from these seven sages and four Manus. The sages were the original teachers of BrahmaVidya, the ancient wisdom. Manus were the rulers, setting the rules and laws. The seven sages also represent seven planes – in the macrocosm, that's Mahat, cosmic Buddhi, Ahamkara, and the five Tanmatras (which become earth, water, fire, air, and ether). The whole universe, both seen and unseen, comes from these seven principles. In mythology, they're given names like Bhrigu, Marichi, Atri, Pulastya, Pulaha, Kratu, and Vasishtha. In the microcosm (us!), Manas, Buddhi, Chitta, and Ahamkara are like the four Manus. The first group is the base of the macrocosm, the second is the base of the microcosm. Together, they make up this whole universe of life. Madbhava means they're all about that Me life, totally my vibe.
