Verse 1.39

कथं न ज्ञेयमस्माभिः पापादस्मान्निवर्तितुम्। कुलक्षयकृतं दोषं प्रपश्यद्भिर्जनार्दन।।1.39।।

kathaṁ na jñeyam asmābhiḥ pāpād asmān nivartitum kula-kṣhaya-kṛitaṁ doṣhaṁ prapaśhyadbhir janārdana

Meaning

Yo, Janardana (Krishna), why would we, who totally see how messed up it is to destroy families, not, like, totally ditch that messed up behavior?

Commentary

Bruh, like, knowing the law doesn't excuse you from doing some straight-up messed up stuff. Wrecking families is, like, a total no-no. We're way smarter than that, so why would we even do that?
